Welcome to the Southern Cluster.
We are youth health nurses working in the infamous South Auckland and consider it a privilege to work in this area. We consist of nurses from high school and colleges covering the areas of Papatoetoe, Manurewa, Papakura and Tuakau and many of our schools are decile 1 - 3.
As you can imagine we all have a huge cultural diversity in our schools, which brings its own joys and issues and we encourage involvement of our people to help us with the issues. Some of our schools already have or are developing school health councils. These are student lead councils, supported by us, that take on initiatives that the students consider important with the aim to then guide the school community and local communities toward healthier life style choices. We are proud to be working with these fabulous South Auckland young people.
